A musical Picnic in the Park - Stony Stratford this summer

Following last year’s sell out, Wolverton G and S Society is back to wow local audiences with “Trials and Tribulations”.

Pack your picnic, bring a blanket and enjoy an evening of live music and comic theatre in the beautiful surroundings of York House in Stony Stratford.

Bring your friends and family to soak up the lively atmosphere as the Society brings music and storytelling to life in the open air. Drinks will be available for purchase from the bar from 4:30PM and the show will start at 5:00PM.

The programme opens with a lively themed musical selection featuring well-loved songs from hit shows including Sweeney Todd, Avenue Q, and Cabaret, alongside a generous helping of much-loved Gilbert and Sullivan favourites.

The show culminates in a performance of Sullivan’s Trial by Jury — a witty, fast-paced comic operetta packed with memorable characters, sharp humour and delightful music.

1st August 2026, doors open at 4:30pm and performance starts at 5:00pm at York House, Stony Stratford

In the event of poor weather the performance will take place indoors.
