Award-winning Northamptonshire chef brings fine dining to your home

Northamptonshire’s leading chef is getting ready to revolutionise dinner parties across the county, by taking charge in your kitchen while you entertain family and friends.

Danny Tompkins, who was named Chef of the Year at the 2019 Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards, is launching a new series of private bookings – giving you the chance to sample his award-winning food in the comfort of your own home.

With pubs and restaurants hit hard by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, at-home dining is set to be one of the biggest trends this winter.

Danny, who previously worked as Earl and Countess Spencer’s personal chef, said: “We’ve seen a huge shift in thinking around food this year. The uncertainty around everything, and the potential risk of infection in public places, has understandably left many people reluctant to eat out.

“However, that shouldn’t mean they have to forego good food. A high-quality meal with family or friends is still one of life’s great pleasures and there’s no reason that shouldn’t still be possible. I now want to take that to the next level.

“By working with customers to create a truly bespoke menu suited to their tastes and then coming into their homes to cook and serve the meal we can bring fine dining to you, while you relax with your nearest and dearest. We’ll even do the washing up afterwards.”

Danny and his team will adhere to all COVID-19 guidelines to serve a stunning meal in your own home. Menus can range from between three and seven courses, depending on your requirements, with prices starting at £50 per person.

All plates, cutlery and linen will be provided, as well as all pots, pans and cooking utensils.

Wine pairings are also available to perfectly match the dishes you choose, with Danny’s signature dishes including garam masala salt cod, sticky ox cheek and soy-glazed flat iron steak all available.
