As the sun beams down on Northamptonshire, many of us are wondering what to do to keep the kids entertained this weekend.
With the need for social distancing as important as ever, outdoor family fun days are a great option, especially as many attractions have adapted their business to make sure fun can be had safely and inline with the Covid guidelines.
Across the county there are plenty of great options including parks, farms, stately homes, strawberry picking and more that families can enjoy responsibly.
From Mini Meadows in Welford, to the nature trail at Rushden Lakes, there is something for everyone, no matter how old your children are or how far you want to travel.
And for those who want to venture a bit further, there are also some great options just outside of the county too.
Below is a list of 13 great family fun days out and how they have been adapted to fit the current Government guidelines. All attractions ask that visitors adhere to the social distancing rule.

1. Mini Meadows, Welford
The children's farm has implemented a pre-booking only policy where customers can pick a 10am-1pm or 1.30pm-4.40pm slot. Staff have full PPE and the indoor play area remains closed.

2. Pitsford Reservoir and Brixworth Country Park
The two connected parks give families plenty of space to walk and cycle. The play area in the country park is open, as is the cafe for takeaway only.

3. Coton Manor Gardens, Guilsborough
This idyllic setting is perfect for a more chilled day out. The toilets are open and so is the cafe for takeaway only.

4. Stanwick Lakes, Stanwick
Set on 750 acres of land, this is the place for you if your kids need to burn off loads of energy. The play equipment, outside toilets and refreshment kiosk are open and the car park is available from 7am until 7pm. Some features remain closed for now.
