Two weeks of keeping the kids entertained and stopping them from climbing the walls is often an almighty challenge for parents.
But there is plenty going on across Northamptonshire this April that is sure to tire the little ones out, or at least keep them entertained and happy for a couple of hours.
From Easter egg hunts, to a chocolate afternoon tea and a museum reopening, there is a wide variety of activities in the country’s calendar, and even a few that will keep the adults happy too.
Here are 13 things to do in Northamptonshire to keep the kids entertained this Easter...

9. Mini Meadows
The popular farm’s Easter Extravaganza is taking place from Good Friday until Easter Monday. There will be a trail for youngsters to follow and they will also be able to cuddle chick and ducklings and play with the farm’s goats. Standard entrance tickets need to be purchased ahead of time and then tokens for each activity can be bought on the day. Photo: Mini Meadows

10. Rushden Lakes
There is plenty to do at Rushden Lakes while the kids are off, including an ‘Out of Hibernation’ trail where children can discover signs of spring by following the clues around the site and learn and play as they meet the creatures who have just surfaced from hibernation along the way. Performers dressed as animals will also be out and about to find on Wednesday, April 5, Tuesday, April 11 and Thursday, April 13 for an interactive journey full of games and storytelling. 11. Kettering trail
Kettering Town Council is reinstating a free trail with sheets available from the library, the first stop on the map. Children can follow the map around the town to find hidden eggs – and when they’ve unscrambled the secret letters they must crack the code to win the prize. Photo: sub

12. Stanwick Lakes
