Wicksteed releases 1,000 extra tickets for Comedy in the Park

Wicksteed Open Air Theatre has released an extra 1,000 tickets for its Comedy in the Park event.

The extra tickets were released today (Monday) after customers crashed the website on Thursday when pre-access tickets first went on sale.

A spokesman for Wicksteed Open Air Theatre, James Penny, said: "The response to this show has been so amazing.

"Today we have released a final 1,000 tickets to meet the incredible demand for Comedy In the Park. I would like to advise fans to book now so avoid disappointment!"

Tickets are on sale now at www.wickteedopenair.com.

Comedy in the Park will be Wicksteed Open Air Theatre's first event and will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021.

The line-up features headliner John Bishop as well as Kettering's James Acaster.

Rob Beckett, Al Murray, Judi Love and Tom Davis are also on the bill.

Wicskteed Open Air Theatre spokesman James Penny said: "We believe this is one of the best comedy line-ups of all time and we are so glad that comedy fans love the line up as much as we do!"

James Acaster is also excited for the event and said: "It’s taken over a decade of gigging but this little Kettering boy is finally going to achieve his lifelong goal and perform at Wicksteed Park. Thank you for this gift."
