The event has been organised by A Void Collective - a group of musicians from different backgrounds who share the aim to break down barriers in live music, creating a more representative and accessible platform for voices they believe are traditionally sidelined.

Void Fest will also be helping to raise money for the Charles Street venue.

Talking about the event, co-founder of A Void Collective Alex Botten said: “Void Fest is the moment where everything we’ve been building over the last year finally comes together

“It brings musicians from different backgrounds together to challenge the barriers in live music and create a ripple effect that we hope will change the fabric of the town’s scene for good.”

The festival reflects the group’s wider commitment to a more diverse and inclusive local scene.

The opening night will feature sets by Megaphoney, Marabar Caves, Good Fridays, Cheap Bleach, Dead Leaves, Canvas Title, The People Assembly, Marnie’s Girls and Shallowdrown.

The following night, Headswitcher will be joined by Bio-Exile, Hot Cops, Take Me To The Doctor, Viewed Upon Death, Moon Haze, Joy Disposal Unit, Mushroom Tea and Queen Eleanor’s Cross.

The Saturday will be headlined by Oscillator who will be joined by The Keepers, Litesleeper, P Shivers, Skybeard, Opal, Funeral Solution, Joe Bombast and Standing Unstable.

The Saturday will also see performances on The ‘Hushed’ stage during the afternoon with sets by Billy Crawford, Mike Major, Chris Watson, Sian Essam, Maevis Darkhorse, Malcolm Dunn and Emmi Fortune.

Oliver Rumen from Headswitcher said: “The collective has breathed a lot of much needed life back into the Northampton music scene and the different events put on by Alex and co have really showcased how genre diverse the scene can be.

“Having these kinds of events alongside (promoters) SBD, NMC and Picky New Promotions is only a net positive for artists in the area.”

Aside from the performances, attendees will be able to pick up the latest issue of the Notes From The Void zine and physical CD compilations.

More information about the line-up is available in Notes From The Void which is available from Abington Groove, Spun Out, Spiral Archive and The Lab.

Both are produced at the collective’s own expense and distributed for free.

Tickets cost £5 per day or £12 for all three days. Booking fees apply.
