British reggae-pop legends UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro, are the latest big names to announce a gig at Wicksteed Park.

The band will perform at the Kettering park's open air theatre on Sunday, August 29, bringing with them a plethora of hits such as “Red Red Wine”, “Kingston Town” and “Homely Girl”.

UB40 are one of the UK’s beloved music institutions with three UK number ones and 17 top 10 singles.

Since reuniting six years ago founding members Ali and Astro, backed by a seven-piece band, have become a formidable touring outfit and have announced four more gigs in July and August, finishing at Wicksteed Park.

They''ll be supported by ska and reggae legends The Dualers.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, March 16, but you can sign up for 24 hour early access here.

It's the latest big name big announced by Wicksteed Park, which last week confirmed global superstar Craig David would also be coming in August.

They will also be hosting an 80s in the Park event and a huge comedy night featuring Kettering's own James Acaster.
