Stars line up for a new change in musical at Kettering

A music star and two actors from popular BBC drama series have been lined up to star in an uplifting musical parody all about a significant women's issue.

Celebrating women and ‘the change, Menopause The Musical comes to The Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering.

Linda Nolan stars in the show alongside Cheryl Fergison and Rebecca Wheatley.

The musical is an all-singing, all-dancing comedy bringing together four women at a department store sale, who on first appearance have nothing in common.

However, the sale of a black lace bra soon stimulates comical female heart-to-hearts on hot flushes, night sweats, memory loss, chocolate binges, not enough sex, too much sex and plastic surgery.

The musical features a number of hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Seen by millions of women worldwide, the show is now embarking on a national UK tour with a brand new cast. Leading the cast is Cheryl Fergison, who is best known for playing Heather Trott in EastEnders.

Cheryl is also known for appearing TV sitcoms like Benidorm, The IT Crowd and Little Britain.

She will be joined on stage by Linda Nolan, who has enjoyed a career in show business performing with her sisters The Nolans. Linda is no stranger to stage acting, having played the role Mrs Johnstone in a recent UK tour of musical Blood Brothers.

Also taking to the stage is Casualty actress Rebecca Wheatley who played receptionist Amy Howard in the TV drama.She has had a successful stage career appearing in West End musicals Fame and Bad Girls the Musical.

It can be seen on Tuesday May 3 and it starts at 7.30pm.
