Shame set to headline region’s venues as part of socially distanced UK tour

The band will be touring in support of their second LP, released in January, and will play in Milton Keynes and Bedford.

Acclaimed post-punk five-piece Shame will head to the region next year for three gigs as part of a socially distanced UK tour.

The south Londoners will headline Esquires in Bedford on Thursday, February 18, before playing two shows at the Craufurd Arms in Milton Keynes on Saturday, February 20.

The gigs are part of a 20-date UK tour at 16 venues.

Writing to fans on Facebook, Shame said: "It’s gutting we’ve been unable to play this new album live before it’s release, so we’ve organised a socially distanced tour across the UK in February.

"Spanning some of the finest independent venues in the country, this will hopefully give some of you incredibly patient individuals a taste of what’s to come when normality is resumed."

Shame’s new album, Drunk Tank Pink, is set for release on Friday, January 15.

Today, Shame released the new track Water In The Well. It follows Alphabet which was released in September and was their first new music since their critically acclaimed debut album Songs Of Praise which was released in 2018.

Tickets cost £15 before fees and due to social distancing restrictions, will only be able available for purchasing in groups determined by venues.

Social distancing restrictions will also be in place at both venues, in accordance with Government guidelines. Full details will be available when booking tickets.

There will be a pre-sale on Wednesday, November 25, at 10am before tickets go on general sale on Friday, November 27, at 10am.
