Demand for pre-sale tickets yesterday (Wednesday) crashed the website, with Wicksteed's open air theatre apologising after many excited fans were left stuck in a queue or kicked out when they had tickets in their basket.

And today organisers have announced they have released an extra 1,000 tickets on easyticketing.co.uk to meet the huge demand to see the global superstar

Spokesman for the open air theatre James Penny said: "The response to this show has been so amazing, tickets are flying out the door!

"It's clear that people are looking forward to the return of some phenomenal live music.

"Today we have released a final 1,000 tickets to meet the incredible demand for Craig David and Ella Eyre. I would like to urge fans to book now to avoid disappointment. These are the hottest tickets in town."

MOBO Award winner Craig David is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Born To Do It’ with a handful of arena shows this year, including Kettering's.

Mr Penny added: "We are more ready than ever to unleash the ultimate summer party.

"With live music officially back on, what could be better than sizzling performances from the king of garage Craig David and pop queen Ella Eyre lighting up Northamptonshire with their party vibes.

"Attendees can expect a full on carnival atmosphere with the biggest bangers.”

The park's open air theatre will also host a huge comedy day, an 80s in the Park event and UB40 ft Ali Campbell and Astro, who were the latest act announced earlier this week.
