Opening night for Northampton comedy club

The Official Comedy Club has arrived at Aspers Casino in Northampton with an opening night.

The club has helped to launch the careers of Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr and Al Murray at other venues across the country. Appearing at the opening night on Saturday March 25 are John Ryan, Colin Cole and Mike McLean.

The irresistibly amiable John Ryan uses his acerbic wit and seemingly encyclopaedic knowledge of the world around him to keep any audience on their toes.

Colin is carving out a big name career in Australia in more ways than one. Standing at 6ft 7, he is known for his hugely dynamic performances.His delivery is fast and furious, and his material ranges from the topical to the observational.

Mike McClean has hosted numerous television shows for the BBC, ITV, C4, C5, Sky1 and Nickelodeon and excels at live TV.

He originally trained as an actor, at the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester. However, after leaving college Mike gravitated towards stand-up comedy and quickly broke onto the circuit with a comedy magic act.

He appeared on the The Big Breakfast, Shameless and The Office.

Tickets for the show cost between £16 and £35 with a variety of packages available.
