Music night in Northampton

A music night will be taking place in Northampton on Thursday February 25.

There will be music from The Brandy Thieves, Dead Frequency and Y-Fi and a selection of other bands at 94 Lower Bridge Street. The doors open at 7.30pm and the entertainment goes on till late in the night.

he Brandy Thieves are one of most exiting live acts in the Midlands and by combining gypsy rhythms and punk energy, ska grooves and folk storytelling, the band has also created a sound that is uniquely their own.

A dynamic trio of musicians brimming with skill and effervescent charisma, Dead Frequency are a high energy amalgamation of My Chemical Romance and The Darkness.

Y-Fi are actory finalists and closing the night. They will be bringing the noise factor to the Phoenix. Y-Fi’s take on rock music draws influence, not only from energetic alternative rock heard from bands such as Placebo, but also the sky-high walls of sound that can be heard from post-rock bands such as Explosions in The Sky.

After the bands, there will be a selection of DJ slots from Phoenix’s own Embodied Audio Room family.

Price is £5, but £3 for students who bring student ID.
