MTV prepares to '˜Crash' Coventry's Ricoh Arena

Headline acts from the world of music will play at the Ricoh Arena in May as part of MTV Crashes Coventry.

The event will take place at the Midlands venue on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28.

It will be the first time an MTV Crashes event has been staged in an arena and will feature a range of acts who will be announced soon.

It will be followed on the consecutive day with a Club MTV event in the same venue.

Thousands of heavily subsidised tickets for both nights will go on sale on Tuesday, February 2 with registration available now.

The Crashes event will be broadcast on MTV’s flagship channels MTV Music and MTV Live HD and subsequently across its wider portfolio.

MTV Crashes Coventry is one of two confirmed MTV Crashes events which will take place in 2016 with Plymouth set to host another later in the year.

Ricoh Arena managing director Andy Gibb said: “We are hugely excited to welcome MTV in May for what will be sure to be a fantastic arena festival.

“This is great news for Coventry and for music fans across the Midlands and stadium concerts form the core element of our music and entertainment strategy.”
