Jongleurs comedy nights to be held at Barton Seagrave pub
The first event takes place in July
Comedy nights will get under way at a Barton Seagrave pub in July when a reborn brand brings its show to the venue.
Jongleurs Comedy Clubs were well known in the 1980s and 1990s and the brand was purchased by comedian Kev Orkian in May last year.
And now the well-known brand is hosting shows at venues around the UK - including at The Stirrup Cup in Woodland Avenue.
Mr Orkian, a semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent, said: “While actual Jongleurs clubs are no more the name remains well known in comedy circles so we are now embarking on a new initiative with a number of venues around the UK.
"The Stirrup Cup is an ideal venue for Jongleurs and we look forward to getting under way with the first show on July 12.”
The July 12 show will feature comedy master of ceremonies Ignacio Lopez and comedians Nick Page and Mike Gunn.
Jongleurs at The Stirrup Cup continues on Monday, September 13, with master of ceremonies John Ryan and comedians Sally Ann Hayward and Geoff Boyz.
Mr Orkian added: “The initial response to our new ‘on the road’ venues has been fantastic with many shows in June and July already sold out - so we look forward to putting some big smiles on faces!"
Tickets for the July 12 show are £15 and available from The Stirrup Cup on 01536 722841.
Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 7.30pm.
