Family fun at Blisworth Canal Festival

Thousands of visitors are to motor on to Blisworth Canal Festival.

The waterfront will be crammed with trade and work boats on both Saturday August 13 and Sunday August 14 with two trip boats operating all throughout the event. One will take you to the entrance of the Blisworth Tunnel, the other to Blisworth Arm.

Seven other village venues close to the canal will have an amazing array of attractions from pony rides, a rare breed farmyard, sheep shearing and rural craft demonstrations, vintage caravans and vehicles, WWII re-enactors and vehicles and art gallery.

The event is also shopping heaven with dozens of traders and a wide range of delicious food outlets and bars.

Towcester Brass Band and Grafton Regis District Scout Band will be playing on the Festival Field stage with Live Music on Mill Wharf.

There will also be a dedicated Dog Zone new for 2016. Joining the always popular Companion Dog Show (Saturday) with prizes and rosettes will be a have a go agility arena and scurry.

Entrance to the event is free but visitors are asked to buy a brochure costing £2.
