Community choir back on stage

What started off as a seven week project to coincide with the theatre’s redevelopment in 2005, has evolved into a weekly activity for hundreds of individuals, providing regular performances, at the theatre, across the county and around the country.

This season also sees the choir featuring in Royal & Derngate’s Made in Northampton production of Soul, a new play about Marvin Gaye.

RDCC’s foundation was based in gospel music, but their repertoire has widened to include soul, jazz, reggae and pop and they have even had a go at opera.

The choir will perform on Saturday, June 18 at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £12.50 before fees with concessions available for £10.50.
