Jim Mallinder’s men head to Cardiff Arms Park for the Amlin Challenge Cup final on Friday before facing Saracens in the Aviva Premiership showpiece eight days later.

They have put themselves in a great position to end a trophy drought that stretches back to the LV= Cup final triumph in 2010.

And Wood, who scored the winning try in the Premiership play-off semi-final success against Leicester last Friday, has urged his team-mates not to switch off in the pursuit of silverware.

“It’s a real difficult balance because there’s a huge amount to celebrate from Friday and everyone’s positive but, feet on the ground, we want to finish the job,” he said.

“We don’t want that to be the end of the season. We want some silverware to take away.

“It’s about regrouping and recovery because it was a brutal encounter. We won’t be knocking seven bells out of each other on Tuesday, it’s all about getting the mind right for another big clash.

“Bath are a quality team and Saracens won’t be easy, either!”
