Wilson advances in World Grand Prix
Kettering snooker star Kyren Wilson will take on Joe Perry in the last 16 of the Ladbrokes World Grand Prix tonight (Thursday).
Wilson set up the clash after he claimed a 4-2 victory over Jamie Jones in a late-night first-round encounter in Llandudno last night.
Wilson took the first frame with a break of 70 but the match was evenly poised at 2-2 after four frames before the 24-year-old won the crucial fifth after needing a snooker.
The Kettering man followed that up with a break of 73 to clinch victory and book a match against world number 10 Perry from 7pm this evening.
The tournament is being screened live on ITV 4.
