Teimana Harrison backs brother Tiaki to excel at Saints

After seeing the way Teimana Harrison has performed this season, Saints fans won't be disappointed to hear that his younger brother is now on the scene at Franklin's Gardens.

Tiaki Harrison recently turned out for the Wanderers in a win at Sale Jets, coming off the bench for the final seven minutes of the match at Heywood Road.

Like his brother, the 18-year-old is a back row forward, but he has a preference for playing at six.

And Tiaki has pedigree, having helped his school, Rotorua Boys’ High School, to win the National First XV Rugby Secondary Schools Championship last year.

“He loves it here,” said Teimana of his brother, who arrived in England a couple of weeks ago and is now staying with his sibling.

“He hates the weather, but he’s in one of the best academies in the country so he will take the opportunity to develop, learn and improve his game.”

And when asked what information he could give Saints fans about Tiaki, Teimana said: “He’s bigger than me, he runs hard and he’s probably still a mad man.

“It will be exciting once he finds his feet here.”

Jim Mallinder has been casting a watchful eye over the younger Harrison sibling of late.

And the Saints boss said: “Teimana’s brother has come over to enjoy everything that Northampton has in terms of rugby and the social side.

“He’s training hard with us at the moment and hoping to impress in the Wanderers.”
