Group play took place in the morning and play-offs for places in the afternoon.

It was a very long day but enjoyed by all, and it was great seeing lots of new young bowlers playing in competition for the first time, and all seemingly having fun.

NBYDS chairman, Vic Cosgrove, thanked Northants & District for hosting the event, along with the army of volunteers needed to run such an day, including all the parents and grandparents that were there supporting the junior bowlers.

All the players were winners on the day, but the actual trophy winners were in the U14s, Ben Carter from Northampton with runner-up Lilli Murray from Kettering and in the U18s the winner was Joshua Sanders from Wellingborough with runner-up Oliver Chapman from Rushden.
