Samoan scrum-half Fotuali’i has come to the fore in recent weeks, stamping his authority on the Saints team.

He has proved to be an important member of the squad at a time when Lee Dickson has been away with England and has shown his class in a run of nine successive victories.

And Pisi is delighted to see his countryman making such a big impression at Franklin’s Gardens.

“Kahn’s played a lot of pro rugby and his experience has shown in recent games we’ve played,” said Pisi.

“He’s enjoying starting and leading the way for the young guys.

“He was still trying to find his feet when he first came in and now he’s found them he’s relishing the opportunities he’s been given.

“We’re starting to see more of Kahn’s X factor.”

And Pisi is revelling in playing alongside the intelligent No.9, who was one of the best players on the pitch in Saints’ win at Exeter last Saturday.

“He’s a good talker and it’s just that instinct thing that we have,” said Pisi.

“I know Kahn and he knows me and it’s just an instinct thing, not just with Kahn but the other boys as well.”
