Saints winger North fit to face Treviso at the Gardens

Saints boss Jim Mallinder has confirmed that George North will be available for Saturday’s clash with Treviso at Franklin’s Gardens.

PLAYING RETURN - Saints winger George North is fit to face Treviso on Saturday

North missed last weekend’s Champions Cup trip to Italy and Wales’ final autumn Test after suffering concussion in his country’s defeat to New Zealand last month.

Ken Pisi and Jamie Elliott were on the wings for the 38-15 win at Treviso, with James Wilson, who has impressed out wide in recent weeks, providing cover.

But North has now recovered fully and could get the nod in the crucial Pool 5 clash this weekend, along with Sam Dickinson and George Pisi.

“George North is fit and available for selection again,” confirmed Mallinder.

“It was very good to see Sam Dickinson back starting last weekend.

“He came off with a bit of an ankle knock but he’ll be fine for this weekend.

“And of course George Pisi returned from his hamstring problem last week, which was good.”
