Saints find out World Club 7s fate

Saints have been drawn alongside Buenos Aires, San Francisco Golden Gate and Vodacom Blue Bulls in this year’s World Club 7s at Twickenham.

Jim Mallinder’s men are in Pool B of the 12-team event that also includes the likes of Harlequins and the Brumbies.

The event takes place on the weekend of August 17-18 and it will see Saints return to Twickenham for the first time since their 37-17 Premiership grand final defeat to Leicester in May.

First, though, Northampton will take part in the JP Morgan Asset Management 7s series, which takes place at Franklin’s Gardens on Friday, August 2.

Saints will be in Pool B alongside Leicester Tigers, Sale Sharks and Newcastle Falcons.
