A trio of Saints will start for England in their Nations Championship clash with Fiji at Everton FC's Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday (ko 2.10pm).

But there is no place in the matchday 23 for Emmanuel Iyogun, who had been called up to the squad on Tuesday.

Borthwick has reshuffled his backline for the game, with Freeman moving to the wing from centre for his 29th cap, while Smith remains at fly-half for what will be his 18th international appearance.

Coles wins cap number 21 in the second row.

“We’ve had a really positive week of preparation, and the players have worked hard in training,” said Borthwick.

“We know Fiji will provide a tough challenge. They are a dangerous side who will demand the very best from us.

“It’s fantastic to be playing at Hill Dickinson Stadium, which is an outstanding venue.

"There is a real passion for rugby across the north of England, and we're looking forward to experiencing a brilliant atmosphere in Liverpool.”

England lost their opening match of the competition last weekend, losing 45-21 in South Africa.

The match will be broadcast in ITV Sport.

Meanwhile, Saints centre Rory Hutchinson keeps his place in the Scotland team for their Nations Championship match with South Africa at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria (ko 4.40pm).

The Scots are going for a second straight win on the road, having beaten Argentia 47-38 last Saturday, with Hutchinson scoring a try.
