Ramm achieves his aim as former Saints star gets Australia call
Former Saints star James Ramm has been called up by Australia.
Ramm opted to leave Saints during the summer as he sought to put himself in the international picture.

He has since spent some time playing for Northland, starring during their run to the NPC final in New Zealand.
Ramm will link up with Western Force ahead of the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season.

And his decision to return home to Australia has already been rewarded as the Wallabies have added the uncapped back to their latest squad.
Australia have Nations Championship matches to look forward to in November as they take on England at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham on November 8, Scotland at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on November 15 and Wales at the Principality Stadium on November 21.
That means Ramm could square up to some of his former Saints team-mates, with nine black, green and gold players named in the latest England squad and Rory Hutchinson selected by Scotland.
"James is a player we’ve kept a keen eye on for a while and his form for Northland has been exceptional in recent times,” said Wallabies head coach Les Kiss.
“He’s someone who knows the UK well having spent a very successful period with Northampton and can cover multiple positions across the backline.”
Meanwhile, another former Saints back, Andrew Kellaway, recently announced his decision to retire from rugby with immediate effect.
Kellaway won 49 caps for Australia during a 12-year professional career that included stints both at home and abroad.
He joined Saints in 2018 and spent a season in Northampton before departing.
The 31-year-old wrote on Instagram: “Closing the curtain on 12 incredible years. Special people, special places and lots to remember.
“Big thank you to everyone who supported along the way and those that played a part. It’s been real.”
