Northampton Saints v Newcastle Red Bulls: Full team news for Saturday's game

Manny Iyogun and George Furbank are among the returning cast for Saints when they welcome Newcastle Red Bulls to cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Iyogun and Furbank are back after spending the Guinness Six Nations with England, though neither player featured during the tournament, and they will start against Newcastle.

Rory Hutchinson, who had been in the Scotland squad during the Six Nations, also starts as he lines up alongside Tom Litchfield at centre in the Gallagher PREM encounter.

James Pater is back from England Under-20s duty and he gets the nod on the wing, having previously featured at fly-half and full-back for Saints since emerging from the Academy.

Archie McParland and Anthony Belleau team up at half-back as Fin Smith is rested following his Six Nations commitments and Alex Mitchell is out with a hamstring injury.

There are several key men missing in the pack as Trevor Davison, JJ van der Mescht, who picked up a knock in training, and Alex Coles, who suffered an ankle injury during England's dramatic defeat in France last Saturday, have been added to the 'not considered for selection' list.

Josh Kemeny also remains unavailable after suffering concussion during Saints' PREM Rugby Cup semi-final defeat at Exeter Chiefs, while Elliot Millar Mills is sidelined after picking up a groin injury during Six Nations duty with Scotland.

Archie Benson has been added to the unavailable list, which already contained injured fellow back row forward Sam Graham.

Henry Pollock is rested after the Six Nations, as are Danilo Fischetti, Fraser Dingwall and Tommy Freeman, while Edoardo Todaro is out for the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury on Italy duty.

George Hendy is some way off a return after he picked up an injury in Saints' defeat at Exeter earlier this month.

But Ollie Sleightholme is fit to make his comeback as he is named among the replacements against Newcastle.

Young forwards Aiden Ainsworth-Cave and Charlie Ulcoq are primed to make their PREM debuts after also being selected on the bench.

Curtis Langdon is another man who is among the replacements as he gets set for his first PREM appearance of the season after recovering from shoulder surgery.

Fly-half Brett Connon will play his 150th game for Newcastle when they travel to face Saints this weekend.

Lock Freddie Clarke returns from injury to take a place in the Red Bulls starting 15, with prop Richard Palframan and wing Harrison Obatoyinbo also back in the line-up.

Newcastle could be set to hand a debut to Nicky Little, the Hawick prop who has been drafted in on a short-term deal due to a barrage of front-row injuries, with Stephen Jones taking charge of his first game as head coach.
