Newcastle Red Bulls announce signing of another Saints forward
Newcastle Red Bulls have moved to snap up another Saints player, announcing that loosehead prop Tom West will be switching to Kingston Park this summer.
The Red Bulls have already recruited Saints duo Elliot Millar Mills and Sam Graham ahead of next season.

And now they have opted to add West to their ranks after the 30-year-old was announced as one of a further nine players who will be exiting cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens this summer.
West joined Saints from Saracens ahead of the 2024/25 season, making his black, green and gold debut against Bath in September 2024.
In season one as a Saint, West clocked up 23 appearances in all competitions, featuring as a replacement in the Investec Champions Cup semi-final victory over Leinster at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
He made more than 70 appearances for Wasps, having progressed through their academy, and was with Wasps when they folded in 2022. He spent time at Leicester Tigers and in north London before arriving at the Gardens.
Injuries have played their part in limiting West to 11 appearances so far during the 2025/26 campaign.
And he will now look forward to the next chapter in his career at the conclusion of this season.
“I’m excited to be joining Newcastle Red Bulls for the coming season,” West told the Newcastle Red Bulls website. “It’s a place that I’ve always loved coming to play, with a storied history.
“Having spoken to their incoming head coach Dan McFarland I’m excited by the prospect of working with him, and am looking forward to seeing what we as a squad can achieve next season.”
Newcastle Red Bulls sporting general manager Neil McIlroy said: “Tom brings vast Gallagher PREM experience and will really bolster our front-row firepower when he arrives in the summer.
“He is a proven performer at this level and will be a valuable part of our pack as we look to move this club forward.”
