Boyd's Saints have belief ahead of big Exeter battle

Chris Boyd admits it doesn't get any tougher than the task Saints face this afternoon.

But Boyd insists his side will travel to Sandy Park with belief that they can beat double winners Exeter Chiefs.

Saints have suffered 10 successive defeats at Exeter and they have not won there since February 2014.

However, Exeter will have plenty of Six Nations absences to deal with this weekend.

Boyd said: "It's the same for everyone to a degree with people missing and squads are not settled and you have injuries to deal with.

"Exeter are a very good side and they've got seven or eight blokes out with international duty.

"But we know they're not European and Premiership champions for nothing and it doesn't get much harder than Exeter at Exeter.

"But like in every single game, we go there with the confidence that if we play well, we'll be there or thereabouts."
