Kettering’s Evans to take on Sherrock at the ‘Ally Pally’

‘Rapid’ secured his spot in the Cazoo World Championship via the PDC ProTour Order of Merit.

And he is set for an intriguing first-round clash against Fallon Sherrock as she returns to the stage where she became the first woman to beat a man at a World Championship three years ago.

Evans and Sherrock will play out their first-round match in the evening session on Tuesday, December 20 at the ‘Ally Pally’.

The winner will then go on to face number 13 seed Joe Cullen in the second round on the evening of Friday, December 23.

Evans suffered a first-round exit at the recent Cazoo Players Championship Finals as he lost 6-2 to Andrew Gilding.

The World Championship gets under way on December 15 and will be screened live on Sky Sports in the UK.
