With the Saturday rain causing the abandonment of the matches between Overstone Park and Old Northamptonians, and Rushden & Higham and Peterborough, Geddington took full advantage.

Luke Thomas scored a brilliant 119 from 126 balls as Geddington posted 196 for five in their 40 overs, with Andrew Reynoldson chipping in with 37 and Alex Lacey claiming four for 37.

After a rain break, Brixworth were set a revised target of 146 to win from 25 overs, but they fell short at 132 for nine.

They were looking well set at 98 for three with Harry Gouldstone (34), Henry Timm (27) and Archie Houghton (39) all making quick runs, but the villagers couldn't maintain their momentum with Chris Murdoch, Luke Thomas and George Parker all taking two wickets.

Horton House made 219 for nine in their clash with Oundle, but in a rain-affected encounter they were beaten by three wickets.

Ewan Cox hit 85 and harry Dube 36 as Horton set a testing total, which after a drop of the wet stuff was revised to 134 from 19 overs for Oundle.

When they were reduced to 37 for four Horton must have sensed victory, but Tom Norman's 66 from just 35 balls turned the tide and saw Oundle home at 137 for seven with nine balls to spare.

Skipper Thomas Hafil scored a brilliant 101 for ONs, but it was to no avail as their match with Overstone was abanadoned at the halfway point.

Tom Heathfield hit 50 and Amrit Basra 49 as ONs posted 248 for four, but then the heavens opened and the match was called off.

It was a similar story for Peterborough who had cruised to 222 for one from 35 overs against Rushden & Higham when the match was abandoned with Josh Smith left stranded on 110 not out and David Clarke unbeaten on 78.

The only game to go the full 80-over distance saw Finedon Dolben secure a 30-run win over Desborough Town.

Sean Davis hit 100, Callum Berrill 70 and Drew Brierley 52 as Finedon made 260 for four in their 40 overs, and that was too many for Desborough who hit back with 230 for seven with Zaakir Khawaja making 72 and Simon Renshaw 71.

For Finedon, Brierley claimed four for 46.
