Northants 'Epidemic' Jordan Vucenic targets triumphant return at Cage Warriors 196

Northampton-based mixed martial arts sensation Jordan 'The Epidemic' Vucenic has confirmed his return to the cage – signing on for a high-stakes bout next weekend that is generating significant buzz across the fighting community.
The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion, who hails from Corby and trains out of the BST Gym in Sixfields in Northampton, will once again compete for Europe's leading MMA organisation after a two-fight stint in the UFC.
Vucenic will face the undefeated Norwegian up-and-comer Torpal Merjoev (6-0) in a lightweight contest at Cage Warriors 196 in London on Saturday, November 15 at the indigo at The O2.
The 29-year-old is looking to bounce back from his recent losses and immediately establish himself as a dominant force in the lightweight division, with a clear focus on getting back to the global stage.
"The time off was tough, but it gave me a chance to reset and come back stronger," said Vucenic.
"Northampton is my home, and I want to bring a major victory back here for the fans who have stuck by me. Merjoev is a tough, undefeated guy, but I'm ready to put on a show and remind everyone exactly who 'The Epidemic' is."
Vucenic, known for his relentless pace and signature submission game, returns to the promotion where he achieved world champion status.
This comeback fight against a formidable, unbeaten opponent is seen as a key step in his mission to follow in the footsteps of other Cage Warriors legends who have successfully returned to the UFC.
All eyes in Northampton, Corby and beyond will be on the cage this month to see if Vucenic can deliver a spectacular performance.
