Northamptonshire racing drivers stun at Donington
Two racing drivers from Northamptonshire have impressed on the race track once again, following the 5th round of the Britcar Endurance Championship.
42-year-old Asha Silva, from Kettering and 21-year-old Noah Cosby from Towcester are drivers for Team BRIT, the world’s only competitive team of all-disabled racing drivers.
The pair competed for the team at Donington Park Circuit on Saturday 9th August, bringing home some incredible results and valuable championship points.
Asha, who was diagnosed with Adult Autism and ADHD finished second in class alongside her racing partner Bobby Trundley, who also has Autism. The pair race in the team’s BMW M240i and are leading the entire championship, with this podium finish further extending their lead.

Noah, who is paraplegic following a motocross accident, drives alongside 17-year-old Caleb McDuff who is Deaf, in a McLaren 570S GT4, and finished P2 in class, but also picked up the ‘Driver of the Day’ award in the process for his incredible performance in the race.
Noah uses the team’s advanced hand control technology to enable him to race without the use of his legs, against able-bodied drivers.
Asha said: “Donington was testing for sure, but we’re so pleased with the result. We faced a few technical issues throughout, but we managed to get through these and on to the podium once again.
“As a team, we held it together to get through and we’re absolutely stoked that we’ve extended our championship lead. Thank you to the entire team!”

Noah said: “It was a tough start, with just one lap to put together a time for qualifying, but I managed to secure us a P2 on the starting grid, giving us a very solid start to our race.
“I started the race conservatively, to avoid any early incidents, but managed to take the lead and create a 20 second gap between myself and 2nd place.
“Making this happen was my best drive this season so far. Being able to battle my teammate Aaron Morgan in our second McLaren – an identical car, made for some incredible racing, so I was shattered come the driver change!
“Caleb set out and drove brilliantly to bring us back home P2. Overall, I’m so happy with how the weekend went – it was clean, calculated and we gave it everything we could. I’m desperate to get back out there at Snetterton!”
Asha and Noah race again at Snetterton on the 13th September.
