The pair have struck up a good rapport for Saints since the Samoan’s move from Ospreys during the summer.

Myler is currently top of the Aviva Premiership kicking charts, having starred in his side’s ascent to second in the league table.

The 29-year-old won his first Test cap during England’s summer tour of Argentina and will hope to put first-choice fly-half Owen Farrell under pressure for a starting spot.

The Red Rose begin their Six Nations campaign with a game against France on February 1, with Stuart Lancaster set to name his EPS squad on January 9.

And Fotuali’i is hoping club-mate Myler gets the chance he deserves.

“He’s been playing really well and that combination between us has been coming on really well,” said Fotuali’i.

“It does take a bit of time but we’ve had enough games to understand what he wants as a fly-half.

“He’s been playing really well and hopefully he’ll push for a spot in the England side in the near future.”
