Mercey becomes fourth Saint to get England Saxons call
Tom Mercey has been added to the England Saxons squad ahead of the game against Ireland Wolfhounds at Kingsholm on Saturday.
The Saints prop comes in for Harlequins’ tighthead prop Will Collier, who has left the 23-man group due to injury.
Mercey is the fourth Northampton player to be called up by the Saxons, with Alex Waller, Calum Clark and Sam Dickinson also involved.
The Saxons take on Ireland this weekend before travelling to Glasgow to face Scotland A on January 31.
