Kettering's Wilson defeats the great O'Sullivan to seal quarter-final spot
In his second match of the day in Belfast, Wilson opened up a 3-0 lead on the five-time world champion as he knocked in a break of 63 in the third frame.
But ‘The Rocket’ stormed back in emphatic style as he produced three century breaks (108, 117 and 126) in a row to level the match and send it into a final frame decider.

Hide AdHowever, Wilson held his nerve with a break of 70 to secure a famous win in the match of the tournament so far.
The 24-year-old, who is ranked number 15 in the world, will now face two-time world champion Mark Williams in the last eight at the Titanic Exhibition Centre tomorrow (Friday) after he beat John Higgins 4-1 in the last 16.
Earlier in the day, Wilson booked his clash with O’Sullivan thanks to a 4-2 success over Akani Songsermsawad.
Songsermsawad took the opening frame thanks to break of 77 but a visit of 83 for the Kettering man levelled things up.

Hide AdSongsermsawad regained the lead but Wilson reeled off three frames in a row to secure the victory with successive breaks of 55, 53 and 61.
Wilson started the week with a 4-2 victory over Hammad Miah before defeating Jordan Brown by the same scoreline in the second round on Wednesday.
