Pisi brought up his ton in green, black and gold in Saturday’s game at his former club Clermont Auvergne.

But it wasn’t to be a happy return for the Samoan centre as Saints were smashed 37-5 at Stade Marcel Michelin.

And Pisi admitted his team simply didn’t perform in a one-sided Champions Cup quarter-final clash.

“It was good to come back but also quite difficult that we lost,” he said.

“Clermont is a top team and we’re a top team as well, but we just didn’t perform.

“It was a very humbling experience.”

And on bringing up 100 Saints appearances, he said: “It’s an honour to have played 100 games for Saints. Not many people play that many games here.

“I’m honoured to have had this opportunity at this club.”
