The Steelmen remain at the foot of the Vanarama National League North, despite a 0-0 draw at Tamworth on Saturday which ended a run of three successive defeats.

Corby are five points adrift of safety while Telford have now moved clear of the relegation places following an excellent 1-0 success at Harrogate Town at the weekend.

Wright believes the Bucks deserve to be playing at their current level and feels they will keep away from trouble.

But he is backing his players to go to the New Bucks Head on Saturday and boost their own hopes of avoiding the drop.

“You look at Telford and they are a big football club, for the neutral you don’t really want to see them going down,” the Steelmen boss said.

“They have great facilities, big support and they have some money as well. They are a club who should be playing at this level, if not higher.

“I think there are other teams around them who are more at threat and I said a little while ago that they would have too much to go down and the last few weeks have proven that.

“But it is going to be a massive game. It will be hard-fought and they will be thinking that if they can beat us then they’ll almost be safe.

“From our point of view, we need to go there and try to get more points on the board. It is set up nicely.”
