The Steelmen handed a full debut to 17-year-old Dean McBride while Visan-Vasile Cretu also started as they looked to bounce back from the 3-2 loss to Lincoln United.Corby took the lead after 16 minutes when Sam Mulready found Jordon Crawford and visiting goalkeeper Ben Chapman could only parry his shot into the path of Cameron Healey who headed home his first goal for the club. But Leek levelled from the penalty spot after a late tackle in the area, Tim Grice making no mistake from 12 yards. There were further chances for both sides with Connor Kennedy having a header saved by Chapman while Grice lobbed an effort off target for the visitors. But it was Corby who regained the lead on the hour when top scorer Mulready turned and diverted the ball home.Grice sliced another attempt wide while Steven Leslie and Dino Tuksar both had efforts saved for the Steelmen. But a third goal wasn’t needed as they saw things out to secure a home success.
