Steelmen draw a blank as they are held to a draw at struggling Boldmere
Corby Town moved to within two points of the Pitching-In Northern Premier League Midlands Division as they played out a hard-earned 0-0 draw at Boldmere St Michael's on Wednesday night.
Leon Mettam's side travelled to the side sitting one place and one point above the relegation zone, but were unable to break down their hosts.

The point will still be a welcome one for the Steelmen boss off the back of two defeats, but they stay 11th in the table, although they have moved to within two points of fifth-placed Coleshill Town, who suffered a surprise 3-1 defeat at rock-bottom Loughborough Students on Tuesday.
It means they are also only a point behind sixth-placed Wellingborough Town ahead of Saturday's big derby date between the sides at Steel Park (ko 3pm).
It is a game that would usually see Corby go in as favourites, but the fortunes of the two county clubs have changed markedly over the past couple of months, and last weekend the Doughboys climbed above their weekend hosts in the table.
The Steelmen are in the middle of something of a major rebuild after they lost around two-thirds of their playing squad along with manager, Gary Setchell, due to budget cuts being imposed by the club owners back in December.
Mettam took the reins and things started brightly under him, but Corby had lost three out of four league matches in 2026 ahead of their draw at Boldmere. They were beaten 3-1 at Mickleover on Saturday.
By contrast, the Doughboys have been on a great run since the end of November, and on Saturday they stunned leaders Carlton Town 1-0 at the Dog & Duck to go sixth.
Jake Stone's side, who saw their trip to Coventry Sphinx on Tuesday postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, have lost just one of their past nine games and are joint top of the form guide.
When the two sides met at the Dog & Duck back in early October, the match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Lloyd Buckby’s 73rd-minute strike cancelling out a 14th-minute opener from Gary Stohrer.
