Shoemake to step down as NFA chief executive

Kevin Shoemake has resigned as chief executive of the NFA and will take up the same role with the Birmingham FA

Kevin Shoemake has resigned as chief executive of the Northamptonshire Football Association.

The former Kettering Town and Rushden & Diamonds goalkeeper took up the role in 2011 but is now leaving the county FA to take up the vacant role of chief executive officer at the Birmingham Football Association.

Shoemake will leave his role in Northants on April 29 and is set to start his new job on May 2.

NFA chairman Bob Cotter said: “On behalf of everybody associated with the Northamptonshire FA – and I’m sure many involved in the game across our county – I would like to wish Kevin every success in this new phase of his career at the Birmingham FA.

“I would like to place on record my personal congratulations to Kevin on being given such a prestigious position, and our thanks and appreciation go to him for the five years’ service he has delivered as CEO of the Northamptonshire FA.”
