Sandy disappointed as off-colour Diamonds miss chance to hit the top six
Elliot Sandy was left disappointed with his side's lack of quality as they drew 1-1 at home with struggling St Neots Town on Tuesday night and missed the chance to go sixth in the Pitching-In Northern Premier League Midlands Division.
Aidan Webster struck five minutes before half-time to put Diamonds 1-0 up, but the visitors levelled just eight minutes into the second half when Robbie Parker slotted home from the penalty spot following a foul by Sam Brown.

Both sides had chances to win the game, but it stayed 1-1 and it means Diamonds stay seventh, missing the chance to go above sixth-placed Wellingborough Town.
Elliot Sandy's side have closed to within a point of their county rivals though, and to within five points of fifth-placed Coleshill Town, with a game in hand.
Diamonds also gave up a 1-0 lead to lose 3-1 at home to Boldmere on Saturday, and Sandy told @AFCRD: "It was poor all round I am really disappointed we weren't able to hold on to the lead.
"It's another game where we didn't show enough quality, and I don't know if it's down to having three weeks off and then playing Saturday-Tuesday, Saturday-Tuesday, has taken it out of the boys.
"We didn't create a lot and neither did they, and then is when yoyu are hoping to see out a 1-0.
"We have then given away a penalty and that is four penalties conceded in four games, and that is not ideal and something we really need to look at.
"That let a side that wasn't really creating much back into the game.
"It is disappointing, because we have given the rallying call to the fans and the players have come out and said how much they want that support, and then now we are back here at Hayden Road we haven't shown them our best.
"We huffed and puffed and tried, we put balls in the box but nothing quite dropped for us, and at the minute our flair and spark players, it is not quite happening for them.
"We have chopped and changed our front three and given them minutes, but it's not been clicking the past couple of games.
"We need to reset, we need to take the point on the board from one of our games in hand, so we are still right up there, but we need to be a lot better on Saturday that's for sure.
"On Tuesday I felt we played with the weight of the world on our shoulders, we were nervy on the ball, and I think that's a mentality thing I need to shift, to say we are a good team."
Diamonds are back on the road on Saturday when they go to a Loughborough Students side currently sitting in the relegation zone, three points adrift of safety.
