Robinson far from impressed as Steelmen's title hopes are hit

The Steelmen have now picked up just one win in their last five matches and this defeat saw them surrender top spot with Berkhamsted taking over at the summit while still having a game in hand on Corby.
Halesowen Town also remain firmly in contention with five games in hand on the Steelmen.

And joint-manager Robinson was far from impressed with what he saw from his team.
“I am not happy with a performance like that at all,” he said.
“I think we probably had three or four shots on goal in the whole game, our play wasn’t good enough, our work-rate, our endeavour, everything as a whole wasn’t good enough.

“They haven’t put a performance in that they are capable of and they haven’t put in a performance that we have trained for all week.
“We are making silly mistakes at crucial times of the game and it’s a collective. It’s not one area or individuals.
“Over the past few weeks, little things have been creeping in that we have slowly started to notice and they need to be rectified.

“This is the time when we need to push on. But last weekend wasn’t good enough and neither was this.
“It’s frustrating and there will have to be some big conversations in the week and we will have to see what happens.
“We will have to go into training and work really hard but it might need freshening up.”
The Steelmen are back at Steel Park next Saturday when they host North Leigh.
