Poppies in cruise control as they thump Leiston to move back into top seven
Kettering Town produced in as comfortable a performance as you could wish for, putting four past visitors Leiston in the Pitching-In Southern League Premier Central on Tuesday night.
Victory puts the Poppies back into the play-off positions, however a paltry attendance of just 465 will concern the board who still control the purse strings while the take over proceedings are completed.

After a dour first 25 minutes, Kettering hit their straps.
Early warnings from Leiston's Harvey Sayer and former Cambridge United striker Adam Marriott were repelled, and the hosts began to enjoy more of the creativity in the final third.

Keeper Callum Robinson produced two saves to deny Lawson D'Ath and Jaiden White, but there was nothing he could do to keep out Michael Gyasi's thunder bolt of a strike on 39 minutes.
Blaine Rowe, who has been such a miss, whipping in a cross from the right to find Gyasi.
He had two attempts to control and on the second launched forward before unleashing at an angle.
The score was doubled minutes later when Lewis Coyle was this time the provider, finding Eddie Panter on the penalty spot who looped his header up and over the rooted Robinson who was barely off his goal line.

Leiston produced several threats in the second half - the best an Adam Mills effort that was half stopped and then cleared by Paul White.
At the other end, Northants Telegraph man of the match Ismael Fatadjo produced another darting run into the box and narrowly missed out making it 3-0 with his tight angled shot.
But a third goal did come on 63 minutes - another perfect Coyle corner finding Harvey Peters who robustly burst through to head home.
Kettering ably saw out the final period, producing the odd break with one finally bearing fruit with a minute remaining.

A long ball towards Shaun Jeffers was well controlled and laid off towards Fatadjo. He unselfishly played through Theo Alexandrou who fired home into the roof of the net.
This win sets up Kettering nicely for their next adventure, an FA Trophy tie at Latimer Park against Quorn on Saturday afternoon (k0 3pm) - the same side that they dumped out of the FA Cup last month.
