Diamonds are now facing a fight to hold on to a play-off place in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central, having led the table for a number of weeks at the start of the year.

Peaks’ team suffered their fifth defeat in the last seven matches when they went down 2-1 at Arlesey Town on Tuesday night, a result that sparked a furious backlash on social media.

Diamonds take on Hanwell Town at the Dog & Duck on Saturday and then face Barton Rovers three days later.

And with just four games to go, Peaks is hoping the fans will give his team their full backing.

“It’s important the fans put the last few weeks behind them and get behind us,” Peaks said.

“If we are going to achieve something, we have to do it together.

“We all want the same thing so I want everyone to be on the same page in these last few games because we are determined to get over the line and make it into the play-offs.”

Peaks, meanwhile, says striker Tom Lorraine will be assessed ahead of Saturday’s clash after he limped off during the second half of Tuesday’s defeat.
