More attacking options for boss McDonald as Poppies make swoop for Alexandrou
Kettering Town have added to their attacking firepower with the signing of striker Theo Alexandrou from St Ives Town.
The 21-year-old put pen to paper at Latimer Park at the end of last week, and made his first appearance for his new club in Saturday's 1-1 opening pre-season friendly against Luton Town.

Alexandrou arrives from St Ives, who were relegated from the Pitching-In Southern League Premier Central last season.
He made more than 35 appearances for the Cambridgeshire outfit last term, scoring six goals, and featured twice against Kettering.
A club statement read: "Theo can operate out wide or through the middle, giving the manager a fresh attacking option and plenty of tactical flexibility.
"At just 21, Theo already has a wealth of experience under his belt and he's hungry for more. Resilient, hard-working, and with bags of energy, he's exactly the kind of player who'll thrive in the Kettering squad."
Alexandrou began his career at Stevenage, where he played out loan spells at Potters Bar Town, Cambridge City, Cheshunt and St Ives.
He has also played in National League South for Dorking Wanderers and Welling United, as well as Wingate & Finchley.
As well as a new face in Alexandrou, two other players have confirmed they will be returning to the Poppies for the new season.
Midfielder Will van Leer and attacker Kai Williams have both put pen to paper at Latimer Park.
Van Leer commits after a successful 15-match loan spell with the Poppies from King's Lynn Town last season, while Williams is also back for more.
The forward was boss Liam McDonald's first signing when he took over the reins in October, 2025, and the 29-year-old has agreed to a new deal.
