Magnificent seven for Doughboys, but Trophy defeats for Diamonds and Steelmen
Wellingborough Town's dream start to the season continued on Saturday as they made it seven wins out of seven.
The Doughboys hosted fellow NPL Midlands Division side Belper Town in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy, and secured a 2-1 success

Jake Stone's side actually fell behind in the 13th minute, but they were quickly level through George Ball.
The match looked to be heading for a stalemate, until Danny Draper popped up with what would prove to be the winner 13 minutes from time.
It wasn't such good news for either AFC Rushden & Diamonds or struggling Corby Town.
Diamonds went into their Trophy clash at Chasetown defending an unbeaten record so far this campaign, but after a terrible start they found themselves 3-0 after just 39 minutes!
Elliot Sandy's side did improve after the break, and pulled one back through James Clifton, but it was no more than a consolation as they were beaten 3-1.
Leon Mettam was overseeing his first game in charge of Corby since signing his new contract last week, but it was to be another afternoon of frustration at Steel Park.
The Steelmen took on two-time Trophy winners Stafford Rangers and suffered a 2-0 defeat.
Jack Birch opened the scoring for the visitors on 34 minutes, before Ty Webster settled things two minutes from time.
Corby are back at home again on Bank Holiday Monday when they entertain Diamonds in an NPL Midlands Division Northants derby (ko 3pm), while the Doughboys are also at home.
Borough will be looking to make it five wins out of five in the league when they entertain St Ives at the Dog & Duck (ko 3pm).
