Lloyd Buckby hit a hat-trick as Wellingborough Town’s fine start to the season continued in the Isuzu FA Vase last weekend.

Buckby’s treble and a goal from Thomas Iaciofano earned the Doughboys a 4-0 victory at Deportivo Galicia in the second qualifying round.

That secured a place in Monday’s draw for the first round proper and Wellingborough were handed a trip to Worcester City with the tie due to be played on October 22.

It’s back to United Counties League Premier Division South action for the Doughboys this weekend and a home clash against Coventry United.

Rothwell Corinthians host Eynesbury Rovers on Saturday while Desborough Town head to Godmanchester Rovers.

Whitworth suffered a 5-1 defeat at Moulton in Division One of the Spartan South Midlands League last Saturday.

Ollie Sljivic scored the consolation for the Flourmen who head to Holmer Green this weekend.

Elsewhere, Raunds Town have a Northamptonshire derby as they head to Sileby Rangers while Rushden & Higham United have home advantage as they take on Moulton.

Daren Young has returned as manager Burton Park Wanderers after Chris Smith resigned at the end of last week.

Wanderers, who sit at the foot of the Division One table, are in Gladwish Challenge Trophy action on Saturday as they take on Aston Clinton at Latimer Park.
