But being in Tier Two means a spectators can return to elite sporting events and, under the guidelines already set, the Poppies should be able to host attendances of up to half their capacity.

The new guidelines come into place from next week meaning Kettering will be able to welcome fans back to Latimer Park for their home game against Blyth Spartans a week on Saturday (December 5).

The news also means AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Corby Town will be able to restart their respective Southern League Premier Central and Division One Central seasons in front of supporters after they had already been allowed fans into their grounds before sport was halted due to the national lockdown.
