In-form Steelmen go six points clear while delighted Doughboys claim second win
Gary Setchell’s side moved six points clear at the top of the table thanks to a 77th-minute goal from Danny Gordon, although there was a touch of fortune about it as he netted straight from a corner.
The win was a well-deserved one for the Steelmen though, who dominated the match for long spells and created a lot of chances.

Hide AdThe win will have delighted Setchell, who will be looking for more of the same when Corby head back to Steel Park on Saturday.
They entertain a Boldmere St Michaels side who have also started the campaign with a 100 per cent record, winning both of their matches to date.
On Tuesday they were 4-3 winners over Lye Town.
Following on from Saturday's clash, the Steelmen are quickly back in action on Bank Holiday Monday when they make the short trip for a derby date against a Wellingborough Town side that have started life at Step 4 in very encouraging fashion. Kick-off at the Dog & Duck is 3pm.
On Tuesday night, Wellingborough Town were indebted to first-half goals from Jessi Obeng and Lloyd Buckby as they secured an impressive 2-1 win over Bedworth.

Hide AdThe Doughboys are up to seventh, and will be aiming to maintain their encouraging start to the season on Saturday when they go to Shepshed Dynamo.
Dynamo claimed a point on Tuesday as they drdew 2-2 at Rugby Town, and are currently four places and two points below Jake Stone’s side.
