FA Trophy and Vase draws are confirmed

Kettering Town and AFC Rushden & Diamonds have both been handed home draws in the first qualifying round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.

And both clubs will be taking on rivals from the Evo-Stik League South Premier Division Central.The Poppies will entertain Stourbridge at Latimer Park while Diamonds will be at Hayden Road to host St Ives Town, with whom they recently shared a 0-0 draw in the league.The ties will be played on Saturday, October 27 with each winning club picking up £3,250 in prize money.Meanwhile, three local clubs now know who they will be facing in the second round of the Buildbase FA Vase.Irchester United picked up a superb 2-1 victory at Deportivo Galacia yesterday (Sunday) thanks to goals from Jared Harewood and Ryan Lovell and their best-ever run in the competition now takes them to Hullbridge Sports.Wellingborough Town came back from 2-0 down to beat London Colney 3-2 after extra-time on Saturday and they will have home advantage in the next round when they take on Tring Athletic at the Dog & Duck.And Desborough Town enter the competition at this stage following their fine run last season with a tough away tie at Worcester City.Irchester's and Wellingborouh's matches will be played on Saturday, November 3 while Desborough's game will be on Sunday, November 4 due to Worcester ground-sharing. Each winning club receiving £900 while losing teams will pick up £300.
